Key Leadership Posts Filled at Women's & Children's Hospital

Lafayette, LA — Leona Boullion and Penny Hutson have been named to key leadership posts at Women & Children’s Hospital, according to Kathy Bobbs, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
Boullion will serve as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Hutson will serve as Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Chief Staffing Officer.
Women’s & Children’s Hospital is part of The Regional Health System of Acadiana. The system represents a group of complementary and affiliated health care facilities, each associated with HCA Inc. (Hospital Corporation of America).
“Together Leona and Penny bring more than 40 years of healthcare experience to their roles,” commented Bobbs. “Their position on the team at Women’s & Children’s will help us ensure that our regional leadership role in pediatrics and women’s services for Acadiana continues far into the future.”
For the last 10 years Hutson has served as CFO and Chief Staffing Officer for Southwest Medical Center, which is changing its name to The Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. Prior to serving at Southwest, Hutson was CFO for Doctor’s Hospital of Opelousas. She has also served as Controller, Managed Care Director and Decision Support Analyst at North Monroe Hospital, Monroe, Louisiana and was Controller for Metro Ambulance Service, also located in Monroe. Hutson also has experience as a Staff Accountant with Monroe-based Southern Industrial Gas Corp. and Allied Building Stores, Inc. and as a Financial Analyst for National Heritage, Inc., a national nursing home company located in Shreveport. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
Boullion has been with Women’s & Children’s for more than 20 years. Since 2001 she has served as Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Prior, Boullion was Director of Quality/Resource Management, Staff Development Coordinator/Preadmissions/Utilization Review and Staff RN/Charge Nurse/Preceptor. She has also worked as Public Health Nurse for Vermilion Parish Health Unit in Abbeville, Staff RN/Charge Nurse for American Legion Hospital in Crowley, and a Staff RN for Humana Hospital of San Antonio. Boullion received her Associate Degree – Registered Nurse from LSU-Eunice, a Bachelor of Science – Health Arts from the University of Saint Francis (Joliet, Illinois) and a Master of Science – Health Services Administration from the University of Saint Francis.
