Race for the Cure 2012

More than 230,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer and an additional 58,000 new cases of non-invasive breast cancer were estimated to be diagnosed in the U.S. in 2011. Nearly 40,000 women were expected to die from breast cancer the same year, according to BreastCancer.org.

Join the Elaine M. Junca Women’s Imaging Centre team on March 17 in Girard Park for the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Help us raise much needed funds to continue decreasing these alarming numbers and making a difference for women right here in Acadiana.

Register for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure now through Friday, March 9!

Here’s how: A registration table will be set up in the Aquarium Lobby from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 and Thursday, Feb. 23 or visit http://komenacadiana12.eventbrite.com to pre-register today!

All registration forms and fees must be turned in no later than 5 p.m. on Thusday, Feb. 23. Drop off completed forms and registration fees at the registration tables during the designated times or in one of the VOICE Survey boxes located throughout the hospital. All who register for the Elaine M. Junca Women’s Imaging Centre team will receive an official purple team T-shirt.

You must register with the Women’s Imaging Centre team to be included on the team and receive the official purple T-shirt! Registrations completed on the Race for the Cure Web site will not be included.
