Philip J. Meyer, DO
Dr. Philip Meyer, Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist, joins the staff of The Elaine M. Junca Women’s Imaging Centre as Medical Director. Dr. Meyer received his osteopathic medical degree from Des Moines University. He then completed his internship at Des Moines General Hospital and residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Meyer was most recently in practice at the Oklahoma Breast Care Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Honors include the appointment of Chairman of Radiology at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma. Dr. Meyer brings over 28 years of comprehensive experience in diagnostic radiology to Acadiana.
The Elaine M. Junca Women’s Imaging Centre is a full-service breast imaging center that offers comprehensive services including digital mammography, the Aurora system for dedicated breast MRI, diagnostic ultrasound, and high-resolution, automated whole breast ultrasound. It is one of the few centers of its kind in the state to offer these advanced diagnostic tools. The Elaine M. Junca Women’s Imaging Centre is a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence as designated by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
